WORST DAY EVER- SOME ARE SO CRUEL

Lizzie - wonderful news. This is a very unhappy person. He wants others to feel pain from his words. I think you know by now, you have a lot of wonderful support - here, in your own family and at work. That should really make you feel better.

When someone says absurd things to me, that stun me to the core, if I can switch gears fast, I usually spin the convo right back at them. I immediately ask why they would say something so hurtful, are they in deep pain from someone who has hurt them and they then feel the need to lash out. I just pretend I'm their therapist and ask them questions about themselves. Do I always do this? No, because this type of person usually shocks the other person. It is kind of fun to watch them squirm. So if you have any further convo's with him, ask him about his childhood. See what he says (not that you care). But for one brief moment it truly might be satisfying to see this jerk squirm until his own self-made microscope.

And this CREEP works in a hospital!!!! Auuuuugh! Report him! It's hard to tell yourself that he's a jerk and not worth the tears. The tears come naturally. All of our futures are uncertain and that puts idiots like this in perspective (mere scum that 5 years from now will not matter to us), but in the moment it is so hard. Big hugs to you.

I needed an adhesion lysis of my small bowel and establishment of an ileostomy to save my life after what I later found out was unnecessary sigmoid colon resection and other pelvic surgery which scarred in my rectum, colon, pelvic floor, and small bowel. I totally lost the use of my colon and rectum and for 7 months the use of my small bowel. I was in my 4th month of having adhesion small bowel obstructions and on my 4th hospital admission to my town hospital's ER. The nurse who greeted me at the ER door said, "You again puking feces, you're disgusting." I was dying and fighting for my life (this was prior to finding the surgeon who saved me.) However, this nurse's comment severely damaged me. Even though I've been well since the adhesion lysis and ileostomy I live in fear that I will reobstruct on some left over adhesion and once again be treated with such distain for being damaged (by medical people of all people). So I know what you mean.

The ER nurse, by the way, was sent home immediately. Luckily someone overheard what she said and sent her packing. Report the idiot pharmacist and you may find you carry more clout than you think you will. Isn't it ironic that the most trouble we have in life is actually from other people?

I would prob have reacted the same way Lizzie, but these days i am out of patience with all morals out the door  and it would have been "what business is that of yours; who the ****k do you think you are you ba****rd!!!" That would put him in his place.

I am happy to hear he is getting fired. That is no way to speak to someone. People are so thoughtless sometimes.
