My forth day in hospital, I love my ielostomy!!

Sorry bout my first post guys pushin down on the ole button quite bit Friday and saturday was very panful.. I had SO many people come in the waiting room for me, the surg was two hours and recovery was five because they couldn't get my blood pressure and pain down, so. Was fnally wheeled into my room with about twenty friends and family there and I had tears in my eyes cause the pain level wasstill at nine, everone started crying, even my dad... I gets better tho, Saturday afternoon. Was feeling better and I had a steady flow of visitors, some people I hadn't seen in ears, and morphine makes me real comfortable so. Was making all knds of poop jokes and showing everyone my scar and bag, I am really fascinated by it:)... And everyne was righmy surgeon, Craig johnson is EXELnT! Becomes by everyday and he couldn't come on Sunday nightso he calls up here to make sure I was ok and if I needed him, I would love to show u guys m scar, whas the bes way? I can email it to u...
Anyways sorr for the long story but it's 5:30 in the morning and I as just woken up for my vitals and my beautiful wifeis sleepingnext to my bed on the couch and I am waiting on a few more morphine pumps before I go back to sleep. My mom and wife have been staying here since Rebekah is pregnant my mom ants to let her sleep while she takes care of my nightime needs. Mom had to go to somethi g last night so is just Rebekah and I. This is the firsttime we have slept alone since being married for almost two years.. Aww.. By anyways that's more my personal goings on. Should write more about the surgery stuff..
The first day the bag just had sme blood in it and it was leaking because someone didn't know how to do it and the bag was adheased over my stichs gauz. We replaced that and still nothing came out Saturday, but th STM really starts to wake up sunday and this mojnday morning, the RN's have emptied the bag three r four times and. Really wish the would let me cause the are real messy about it, I think I have read and waxhes nough videos to firgure out the right way to to it, it is the fold up velcrow kind and it is kinda hard to get open at the end. Gosh his got long sorr guys, will post more and sorr if. Repeat myself, I'm alittle TWI or PWI lol, oh and Internet it ten dollars a day here so I optesto just use my iPhone, I still always gave accessto email and the forum on here :) thanks for all your love

Glad you are doing well. It gets better every day, so hang in there and keep resting.

I am so glad everything has gone well. The pain will decrease daily. Please take it really slowly. I am going to mention again to take the food really slowly, CHEW CHEW CHEW and WALK WALK WALK! Doesn't feel great to be rid of that crappy colon?!

That sound terrific, Isaac! I'm so glad you are doing well. I don't know how spouses do it. yours sounds like she's doing a great job.
I have to admit that I'm enjoying your drug influenced posts! So hilarious. I've been reading them aloud to my husband and we are having a great laugh!!
It's great to hear things are going so well and that you are ready to change the bag for yourself. That's something I had a hard time trusting I could do, but when I did, things got so much easier!

well thanks guys for keepin up with me, i am off the pain pills for now, so this is really me LOL. i posted last night an update u can read it so i dont type it again its titled "sorry its been so long surg scheduled for nov 9" or somethin like that...
baby is doing well, she just started her third trimester, next week will be 7 months.. oh and my takedown surg is nov 9, we start our childbirth classes nov 17, i hope i feel like going, im not really sure what to expect as far as recovery, i read last night that alot of you had bad gas pains with the takedown surg...
