So I need to get some ideas from my friends here ...

When I had my ostomy, and when I was emptying my bag, I always dreaded getting hit in the face with toilet water pellets!!

Now that I have my JPouch, my bum hates getting splashed whenever I have a bowel movement. It's bad enough we have diarreah like potty, but mixed in with toilet water make cleanup a LOT harder!! :)

So, is folding toilet paper and putting it in the bowl prior to release the only answer? ;)

I have used that with when emptying ostomy bag and it worked to avoid splash.

How are you doing UCfree... I got my staples out and now I have an open wound that i have to pack for several weeks--- Good times@@

Doing much better thanks ... been on Cipro for a month now ... worked like a charm .. now trying to come off it and things not going too well. Weiss wants me to try Xifaxan now ... ughhh insurance company doesn't cover it !!

How are you doing? This is an exciting time for you ... be happy !!!

Why Cipro? Do you have Pouchitis? When is a good time to call you? I would like to talk to you but don't want to bother you with the new baby and all :)))

They suspect pouchitis ... feels like it .. so it must be it... he is going to scope again in 6 weeks he says. In the mean time .. gotta keep trying new drugs!

at home, fix your toilet where the water doesnt come up as high, thats what i have done in my bathroom, then it wont splash up on you!
