Most embarrassing thing happened at work

I had my first day at a new job. There were a bunch of new hires for the season and we were having orientation. As we sat down in the back to start I let out this hug loud fart into my bag. It was so embarrassing! It was in that akward don'k now anyone else silence and everyone just turned to stare at me. It was my worst fear come true. I was like oh its my stomach I havent eaten today. Everyone just kinda gave me a look. I havent had an ostomie for long and this was one of the first times I put myself out in public with people I didn't know. It was kinda funny in the irony of it, but it was still mortifying.

Looks like you are relatively new to this drill. Hopefully you can adopt my attitude--whatever. I actually feel better about the noise coming from the bag instead of from the bottom end, like I had to endure for so many years. Not eating causes my stoma to spurt.

Why have you had so many abscesses?? I just had my first since my 07 colectomy. It was and still is awful.

Good luck with the job .You are one of the lucky ones. Around here, jobs are hard to come by.

Tonight at the movies, in the only quiet part, mine made a fart noise! luckily, i had on a shirt and a hoodie and had my hand in the pocket of my hoodie so it was over it, i dont think anyone heard it, lol.
But i was like, OMG how awful!

I just read ur post and it gave me a great laugh!!! The way you explained it was very funny. This also happens to me when it's quite and i still cant get used to it after 8yrs now. I admire your spirit!!!

This is a tiny bit off subject but the theme is keep sense of humor. I have to have all my food pureed. Once on a cruise, the chef didn't puree it enough. Instead he ground up some vegetables and made it look like a plop of poo from a person with a totally intact digestive system. When it arrived on the plate looking like a plop of poo, I just about died of embarrassment. Everyone just looked at it with mouths dropped open.. (Of course it was our first night together as table mates on a cruise, always a bit awkward.) I sooooo wanted to take a picture of this (as I'm sure others did too.) I just sort of pushed the plate slowly aside and went on with polite conversation about our day at sea, while I'm sure I blushed.

Over the next few nights as we all got to know eachother, we all were laughing hysterically about the appearance of my pureed food. We all admitted we really wanted to take a picture. We all got to be very close friends and to this day are still in touch. One never ever knows what may make for interesting connection among people. Sense of humor absolutely essential to us all, huh? Hope everyone is well!!!!! I'm going to ask a stupid question and here it comes. How do we still Fart "lol" with an ileostomy and why is it so noisey?? Sorry i'm very curious about this very embarrassing problem.

Any feed back would be appreciated.
