Finally. What an experience.
I had so many tests. And still no answers.
The enemas weren't so bad. I couldn't even feel the tip of the bottle being inserted into the stoma. it did cause a lot of cramping, but that's to be expected. And i had them knock me out for the scope. they said i could be awake since it would only take like 10 min., but that's 10 min. i wanted to be asleep, thank you!
But the biopsy came back possible crohns. I have to admit, i lost it. and then i was/am in denial. i don't believe that's it. The internist even admitted that it's not typical crohns and it's not a 100% diagnosis, but that the inflammation fit crohns the most.
No, dr. it's not. I just don't believe that it's coincidence that i hurt myself and the crohns reared at the same time.
The GI Dr. said the pain i was feeling didn't fit with crohns pain either, and the whole situation is very complicated b/c inflammation from an injury wouldn't typically last for over a week. But the inflammation was only right at the stoma.
So he told me we could either try steroids and treat like it's crohns, or we could try NSAIDS, treat like it's an injury, and if you don't feel better in a couple of weeks (or begin to feel worse) then go to steroids.
of course, i chose no steroids and i'm happy to say i'm soooo much better.
Then i was thinking, why am i so much better at home, then i was in the hospital. I think it's because at the hosp. they treated my pain with narcotics and now i'm using anti-inflammatories. so, they are helping!
I'm soo relieved.
Thank you all for your support. I appreciated all of you thoughts and prayers.
I'm never doing crunches again!
