Has anyone been to Africa with their bag?  I know it's hot there, like do I need to worry about my bag sweating off kind of thing?  I have no probs reducing my wear time, but I don't really want to be changing it everyday either.  I would be in west Africa, like Nigeria area

I haven't been to Africa but I do live in Queensland Australia and it gets extremely hot here, perhaps not quite as hot as Africa but at the moment I would say we could be on par with the heat there as it is extremely humid here and I have no problems with my bag sweating off and I do sweat heaps in this heat so I think you should be ok. If you would feel more comfortable and sure it probably would be a great idea to wear a hydro frame around your base plate, I use them when I am swimming and it holds really well. Have a great time, its a place I would love to travel to one day as well. Take care :-)

What is a hydro frame and where do you get them? What companies sell them?

Have fun in Africa and let us know how things worked there.

I'd say don't worry about it, change more often (if necessary) and use a Sure Seal smilewinkgrin

Hey hydro frame is like a security strip u put around your base plate and I have tried 2 different brands one is from Salts and they call it hydrocolloid security strips product code is SPH1AUS or otherwise the company is also known as AinsCorp. Pty Ltd the other one I have tried is called a hydro frame made by Welland Product code is XWAFH33, Both are great to help reinforce the pouch and the only difference really is that the welland one you only need 2 pieces to go around your base plate where as the Salts one you need 3 pieces. They have made my life easier. Good luck

Hey Matt,  like some of the other posters I would love to hear more about your trip plans!  That is so amazing.    Hope you post pics on Facebook - I tried to find you with the info in your response to nascar Ron but there were many people with your name smhair   I noticed you're in Kitchener...I'm in Waterloo !!  Small world. 

I wish I had known all about those secure seal products ages ago - I've been fumbling around with tape and prayers, grrrrrr.    Oh well, 2 weeks to go until the reversal...13 days and 4 hours, not that I'm counting.

matt you probably need to worry more about dehydration over there, since its going to be so hot!
As for the heat, i would go with a sure seal, and change more often
