Was wondering if there are pouches that don't have the extra inch above the stoma area. It flops over all the time and makes a bulge that drives me to distraction.

I get how they work if there is an air filter on the top but what if you don't want air filter (which doesn't work half the time anyway)? The ones without it are the same shape anyway in Hollister.

When my pant line is below air filter it's ugly and when it is above it makes beltline all the tighter.

I know Bubbles is helping my life so much but these pouches are still not my friends.

I have never found a ouch that doesnt do that ballooning thing at the top. I wear a tight tank top, or I use a tube top over the pouch. I think others use the tube top as well. I do find that I am in alot of layers and nothing seems perfect, but at least I can wear lower pants again.

I use stretch tanks from Target...they work really well for me:)

I think it's summerstorm who tapes the top down to prevent that...I haven't found any ostomy pouches that aren't like that:(

Yep i tape the top down, works great! You just cant burp it from the top with it taped down, but after my incident in the hall a while back, i dont do that anyway!

Tape it will be then. Wonder if a suggestion to a company would do any good??

i use tape for everything yall. I also put tape on the plastic part of the tail, that is left out after you close the tail, does that make sense?
it makes it close easier, and if you have fingernails, keeps it from tearing, and if you get poo on it, just change the tape, rather than the whole bag!

I wear the tighter tanks as well...almost constantly...it smooths my accessory wonderfully!  I've also found a few pairs of dress pants that hit right at or above Penelope and I love how I look and feel in them  yeah

I'm currently in the search of the perfect jean.  I'm also in the process of shedding some lbs so once I hit an acceptable shape I'll start looking for investment jeans.  Right now I'm wearing Maurices jeans and got the high wasted ones and wear longer tops...it works for now, but I am so looking forward to getting a better fitting pant!

I've not tried the taping, but it's always been in my mind b/c Summerstorm told me about it over a year ago when I first met y'all.  smilewinkgrin

Im in love with the American Eagle jeans. They come in a bunch of shapes/sizes/colours and don't cost an arm and a leg to buy. Im pretty sure ya'll in the states have American Eagle....right? LOL.

I've not tried AE jeans...I'm assuming they have long and x-long?  My dilemma is always length...I can wear kitten heals with the Maurices longs, but normally get BKE or Lucky jeans because they come in x-long length so I can wear 3"-4" heels. 

On a separate note, I had my toes pampered a bit today and am ready to wear some peep-toes!!!!  I'm so flippin' excited!  I've based an entire outfit around a pair of shoes b/c I am determined to wear them today!  Yay!!!!
