My mother in law has gotten it clear now why I need a colo/ostomie. A friend of a friend has had one. Now let's get my husband on the same page and we will be on go.Thanks for any encouragement.

Thats great news Mary Lynn, if you have MIL onside then thats half the battle ;-)

Did you see those pix I put on your other thread? I thought they might put your mind at rest a bit as to how active it is possible to be even with a bag.

YAY maybe she can talk to your husband, no matter how old you are you still gotta listen to your mommy :D

Speaking of pics, have you looked on the photobucket website?
You can show those pics to your husband and he can see we dont look awful!

Suzy, I missed that,please direct my dumba** . Summerstorm, the mommy is Tommy's.My mama would have been on go with us(you folks and me) for along time now. She would not want to see me like this,or letting me let a man decide what I should do with my life and health. This situation has taken a part of me away.I have always liked to fly solo to some degree,but this complete isolation and fear of going to a store is crazy. I value you folks ,and again...love you,now. I realize anything is possible,but do you think,I could catch a break and go into remission???

Summer, I took a look at some of the pics of ostomates thank you for showing us. Can we put a pic of ourselves on there or do we send it to you first to do it?

sad Being homebound is no way to live. Surgery will give you your health and your independence back. You do not need his approval to take care of YOUR body. He is just going to have to accept whatever you choose to do.

Cecilia, I have added my pic to the album but I seem to have put text with my name etc in the wrong place. Couldn't work it out lol. If anyone can sort it for me and move it to where it should be would be great.

What would I do without you ladies? I still can't see any pics except that cute young man repelling!My husband is not talking about it,although,his mama has told him. Today I washed my beautiful rescue lab.( I used to be very active in the NC lab rescue.) Not so much now.Then washed myself.I guess it would be funny,except I was nasty from feces. Oh well. How are you all doing????

I love Labs, too! My brother has a black female and a chocolate male. They are great dogs. I have two German Shepherds. I'll upload a picture of them to our PhotoBucket page, so you can see them! smilewinkgrin

Thanks, I will try that. My lab is my best friend. I was involved with the shepard rescue at one time. I had a hard time,because of my husband. Oh yeah, I am on the coast of nc. Atlantic Beach/Emerald Isle.

Summerstorm,you look cute. Sorry,maybe happy is a better word. What I am trying to do,is show Sarah,my granddaughter,what it like now and how I can be after the sx. If I go ahead and sched.it soon,she will be able to help me. Also, removal of the rectum was a shock. Can I find pictures anywhere??
