Hairy belly

So for us who have hairy bellies :) I know I had a tough time with my temp ostomy, shaving the hair off and the skin breakdown and itching when the hair grew back ..

How do you guys manage that and is there a better way to manage this problem? :)

have you tried just one of those small trimmers to make it shorter and not completly take it off.
dont use nair though it takes the pouch right off, and might make it hard for it to stick too, im not sure.

Depending on how coarse the hair is - shave the direction of the hair. It is sometimes hard to see which way it goes. Try a girly razor with the expensive blades.

I've tried conditioner and baby oil instead of shaving cream.. but I've never shaved my stomach as I'm a girl :)

I am plenty hairy and I shave each time I change. I take off the old "fish tank"  (pouch)and get into the shower and soap up around the stoma good! Then shave. The soap and hot water make shaving less irritating. Yes ,do use a new razor, I just use the disposible ones. I change about every 4-6 days depending on how much sweating in the heat I do, and shave every time. Don't let that hair get a foot hold!

When I change flanges I normally rip them out. Although the other day I decided to shave around the stoma.

To avoid nicking your stoma whilst shaving, use the cardboard middle of a toilet roll and put that over your stoma to protect it :)

I don't have to shave but others have said the TP thing works well!

i dont think you could have the area under your wafer lasered, because i dont know how you would keep it from having output and after you have the laser removal it would hurt to put the wafer back on for a while.
