Can't seem to get the poll thing working ... so I'll just ask you guys and gals here :)

Pelican Drainable Pouches by Eakin and Eakin Slim Seals.

I find the pouches that I use are extremely reliable and fit snugly to my stoma and my stomach. They are cut to fit and this makes it easier when your stoma changes sizes. Used in conjunstion with the Eakin seals I have found a reliable and comfortable combination. smilewinkgrin

I've been a Coloplast girl all my life. Over the years I've sampled various other brands but always came back to Coloplast one piece bags.

I started with Convatec, but I got samples from several other companies and after trying several, I am going with Coloplast. Mostly because the wafer is less itchy and I like the ease of use of the bag.

I also use Eakin seals and Sureseals.

EDIT: I use Osto-EZ-Vents, too, when I am not too lazy to apply them.

I guess I should answer my own poll too :)
I started with Convatec, tried samples from Hollister and Coloplast and have settled with Coloplast. Their pouches are much easier to use and clean. I also use Eakin seals. Allergic to Sure Seals otherwise I'd be using those too :)

I use Hollister. I use the two piece closed pouch system and it's very easy to change when I need to.

     I use the Coloplast one piece after having problems with the Hollister...especially when one broke on me during a Comedy Club show...yikes!

i use coloplast one piece drainable very easy to clean no leaks or ballooning , allergic to wafers on dansac, hollister , convatec

i use coloplast sensura 2 peices b/c the wafer sticks much better for me than hollister's and i get a week wear time. with hollister i get only about 3 days wear time.

I use Hollister, a 2 piece convex with no tape/adhesive.

I have tried other kinds but Hollister is the only one that provides an option that doesn't make me break out into a rash. I LOVE that they have mini pouches (I HATE the long 12" ones; I don't know how people stand them), and I love that the pouches are beige and soft. I also like their lock n roll.

I use a Convatec one piece. The wafer is very soft and flexible. I have been using the small eakin seal with good success.....except for the leftover mess when changing. Right now I am trying a Hollister convex seal with the same pouch. First seal worked great with no leftover seal on my skin. I also use an EZvent.

Coloplast Extended Wear w/Convexity...pouch w/filter and velcro end :-)

I did start with Convatec Moldable w/Convexity but it had issues with my new stoma and wasn't durable enough...also tried Hollister but their convexity was horrible and never held very long but I loved their pouches!

OHIO76: How do you avoid the ballooning of the bag with gas? I find especially at night it's hard for me to control this and I wake up with a balloon attached to me and I always think it's going to pop at some point. I think it's come very close sometimes.

The filter seems to work great the first day and then after that it just stops working.

I don't have a problem with the ballooning...I do eat a high fiber diet and don't eat much that is processed. I do know that if I do eat processed foods I'll have a little more air but not excessive.

I was sleeping with my mouth open and that was causing air at night...once I figured that out and trained myself to sleep with my mouth closed that problem went away!!

Do you do anything special to keep the filter on the bag from getting wet? Like folding it over at nights or covering the bag in the shower? Maybe those white sticky tabs to cover the filter?

That's a common problem with the filters. You need to get some osto ezvents from your supplier. They are manually operated stick on vents. You just open the vent and let the gas out. I have beeen using them for almost three years without a failure.

uc during the day i dont have ballooning but some nights i do depends on what iate for dinner have a high output so empty at least twice at night so does nt really bother me
