I have been using friars on and off for a long time. I just apply it with a Q tip. Dip it in the bottle once and run the Q tip around the stoma and on anywhere that is ulcerated. If you need more, use a new Q tip, don't dip the used one in the bottle. Be sure to let it dry before you put your wafer on. I use a hair dryer to dry the friars. As a matter of fact I use a hair dryer to dry around my pouch everyday after I shower. The friars seems to be sticky when it is dry.

It's gonna burn like h***. But it works.

Polish Dan lead me to the friars and my ulcers that I have been struggling with for months are nearly gone. My bottle came with an eye dropper and I use it. It will burn like fire so have something close to fan with or use your blow dryer. The one thing I found out when using it if I used my blow dryer it blew all over the tile next to the commode so I don't know if this will be an issue for you but now you know as much ass me but that ain't much.....

Yes it did. I actually put the friars on let it burn and dry and then put another application on top and the second one didn't burn like the first one. The stuff is amazing. I've told several docs about it and they weren't all that impressed but I guess you have to have a ostomy or skin ulcer to appreciate things like this.

The skin ulcers are painful and the friars does buffer some of that pain. Unfortunately my largest one was under the rim of the wafer and I had to really press to get it to stick so oucheee it was terrible.

Used Friars Balsam on ulcer near stoma. Big mistake. Within two days the ulcer was much worse painful and bleeding. Back to square one. But certainly would not recommend FB to anyone.
