So, last night I had to change the wafer. While I was cleaning it up, this stuff shot out of the stoma very forcefully. It looked like throw up. GROSS! It really freaked me out because it was ALOT and it shot out like a rocket and hit the door to the cabinet. This is the 2nd time this has happened, except this time it was more forceful. I did not feel any pain or any warning that this was going to happen.

I am worried since this is something new.

Anyone else experience this?

I have had that happen.once while cleaning area my potassium pill shot out and hit wall then almost put my eye out.lol. I think it's just from putting pressure on stomack in that area. nothing to worry about.just keep tp or paper towels handy

Yep, had it happen as well, made it worse by trying not to laugh and this made it do it again!

More than once when I've gone to change my applicance I've had it squirt out to the point where I couldn't keep ahead of it with paper towels.  All I could do is lean over the toilet and let it do its thing.  It kept going and going.  Yes, it is gross.

Bellypooper, I cracked up laughing about the potassium pill shooting out of your stoma and then almost putting your eye out. HAHAHAHAHA I can actually see how this could happen. Do you take pills now? Because so far, I have yet to see a med that I have taken, but I try to only take gel caps because my doctor said I may have issues with time released tablets or enteric coated pills. The one med I take that is enteric coated, I crush and swallow with applesauce.

     They gave me those potassium pills in the hospital (here in Jersey) when I was dehydrated, about a month post op.  This was NOT the hospital where I had the operation (one reason I chose Philly over Jersey hospital  for my operation).   They gave me two potassium pills.  Later in the evening, I noticed one whole one in my bag and thought...OMG...where is the other one?  Hoping it wouldn't cause a blockage.  Thankfully, it did come out a few hours later.  I told this to my nurse and she said she would make note of it.  OK....the next day, what did they come in with...not two but FOUR huge potassium pills!!!  rolleyes !!  I had to explain once again that I could NOT take them.  They set up the IV with potassium but didn't regulate a slow drip and WOW did it ever burn.  Apparently, the nurse didn't know it was to be a slow drip.  OMG....hope I never have to be taken by ambulance to one of these Jersey hospitals again.

     Cannot take enteric coated pills.

     Tracy....are you having another operation?

And you expected them to understand that when two potassium pills don't work four will not work? When I was in the hospital the nurse came in with blood pressure pills for me. I said that I do not take blood pressure pills. She insisted that I do. I said to Dan in the next bed "do you take blood pressure pills? He answered yes." She was going by first name and did not check name my name tag.
