Does anyone use "just a drop" to control odor from an ileostomy?

There is a product called "Just a Drop" that you put into the toilet before having a BM.  Supposedly it completely eliminates all odor.  I am wondering if any ileostomates have tried this product?  I am not sure if it would work because we have a little different situation than someone with "normal internal plumbing."  What do you know about this product?

Get some M5 drops.... they are absolutely amazing, you put them in the bag in the morning, or every time you empty, it's a little bottle and just a couple drops and absolutely no odor.

With the drops you're talking about that go in the toilet? the smell is coming OUT of the bag, a lot of that smell is gas and the drops in the toilet aren't going to do anything about that!

You know, I've never felt the need to use anything because I've never smelled anything coming out of the pouch that smelled any worse than what I'm sure we've all experienced having a normal BM before surgery.

     I have been using the 3% hydrogen peroxide in my bag and there hasn't been any odor after emptying at all, but, hey...I am all for that Just a Drop because hubby sure needs something after he makes a poo...PU!!! smhair

I'm considering using M5 drops or the hydrogren peroxide. I Google seached M5 drops and I didn't get anything. Where can the M5 drops be found? Thanks!

     I order them from Edgepark.  They are my main supplier.  Do you have insurance?  Talk with your supplier.

How do you put M9 drops into your bag; from the bottom (unroll velcro and try to open bottom wide enough) or do you open the circular ring a little (on a two-piece) and put the drops in by the stoma?

Also, I am considering not using any products since I can't smell anything. Then again I don't have much of a "sense of smell" and others are probably too polite to say anything. Do any of you just use closed-end bags and dispose of them in the black, zip-lock ostaway disposal bags? Then you don't have to empty at all!

I wish there were a product that would help eliminate DH's odor from two abdominal fistulas.  He utilizes ostomy supplies for these and we haven't found anything that is REALLY effective controlling odor!

I use a one-piece pouch and put the M9 drops in from the bottom, by the velcro.
