I was born and raised in Manitoba and then Toronto. Came to the states for high school and ended up staying for 30+ years. I live in Portland, Oregon.

Sorry...hadn't checked back for awhile.

Dr. Andrea Ferrara at the Orlando Colon and Rectal Center did my surgery 2 years ago.

I don't have ostomy; had colon inertia and had my small intestine connected to my rectum. I still have issues but manage with miralax pretty well. Not what I had hoped for, but better than before.

I live over on the east coast near Cocoa Beach, but come to Oviedo once a week to keep my little granddaughter....my favorite day of the week:)

Janiepain,

Ferrara did my surgery as well and same surgery Feb2011. You still have issues? It has only been 2.5 months, but still primarily on liquid diet due to pain near/at anastomosis with eating solids. Seeing him on Tuesday to figure out what to do as I can't continue with this pain with eating.
