I didn't think it sounded right. It really made me mad. I spoke with my husband and he is back on board but I just couldn't believe it!

I bet you are happy to be back home. He is back in the hospital but not sure why or any details.

Mary, I haven't been on in a while so I'm not sure where you stand right now. Are you still scheduled for the surgery on 6/29. You seem to be uncertain on the surgery. I think I asked a while ago but don't remember what you said. How long have you been dealing with the CI?

I read about the woman who came in to your office - Why does she even know about it? I told some of my coworkers because people always speculate about why someone is out so I figured I'd set it straight from the start. I only have one of our passengers (a regular who is also a college professor) because we are pretty close and I knew he'd wonder where I was for so long. I knew my coworkers would never give out my personal information.

I went to the doctor yesterday for my post-op follow-up. He wishes I was doing better and going on my own (w/o m-o-m) but said he'll see me in one month and do testing if I still have any problems. Of course I will go back sooner if things get worse. I am scheduled to return to work on 6/27 as long as I am feeling up to it. Otherwise he will extend my leave. Financially I need to go back but I work 10.5 hour days and if I was scheduled to go back tomorrow I would definitely not be able to do it.

I hope you can work things out for yourself and not worry about others who are not involved in your life and well-being.

hi mary - just got your message. 

I sooo wish I had done this ages ago.  Actually i did go to many docs over the years but it took until this past year to get a doctor to run the proper tests.  They were all doing colonoscopies, which don't show that it isn't working. 

i'll be home this evening or even now.  Actually if you are avail. now, it's good because it's just me and my girls home right now.

That's okay - I didn't actually hear it but Ron did. By the time I got to it it was too late.

Mary - Any time is fine to call today or tomorrow.  (We/Th).  My husband works Sa-Su-Mo - long hours and gets up at 3am.

Call me on my cell - 302-229-6925. Just not between 5pm and 730pm (I'm guessing on the end time) but I'll try you on my way home. My daughter went to a leadership camp at Husson Univ. up in Bangor, ME. It's a pain because it's so far to drive (2.5 hrs) there, see the "graduation" ceremony then drive home.

I hope you are ready for the surgery; just a few more days. Still 6/29? Did you hear that Kyle is back in? I haven't heard since he texted me a couple of days ago. I am having the same problems as he is but my doctor said basically to just deal with it. He warned me ahead of time that this does not always fix things and that if my rectum wasn't in tiptop shape that it wasn't going to be a miracle cure.

If I don't talk to you today, I should be available all weekend.

Mary, as far as the pain meds go, you'll need them the first couple days (at least I did). Yes, they are constipating so switch to ibuprofen and Tylenol as soon as possible. Since they like to limit the Tylenol due to possible side effects (liver, think) they may offer you ibuprofen in between the doses. Sometimes mine were given together. I still had pain but not too bad. My problem with pain was so much gas was built up that I felt like I had labor pains.

Anything new on Kyle?

Mary, i'm so excited for you, your surgery is just in 2 days! if the antibiotics didn't help, it could be allergies, cuz allergies don't respond to antibiotics. i hope you dont have to reschedule. you're in my prayers hon! GOOD LUCK!

does your surgoen know you're feeling sick? what did he say?

good thing you told them. i hope nothing goes wrong and you're able to go as scheduled. feel good! and hang in there!
