Marshmellows???

What's all this I am hearing about marshmellows? I think somewhere on this forum and other forums I have read about peole eating marshmellows to make stoma activity stop for a couple of hours, or please let me know what marshmellows are good for!

I eat three, wait a few minutes and then it stops things for me for about 10 - 15 minutes to change my appliance.

I don't know about 2 hours..but, at least 15-20 minutes...more than long enough to get the stoma ready for a new wafer...I eat two marsh mellows and wait 30 minutes....

They work very well for stopping my output for about 20 minutes. I have to eat more though... sometimes 5 or 6. I need to eat them right before the change though as the effect wears off pretty quickly for me.

FYI - if your digestive tract responds to sugar, ie sugar dumping, this may not work for you.

My son used to do this before every change and swore by it....like blueheron though he needed to eat more than a couple
