Hello I am new to the community and am so glad something like this is out there.
I am 33 mother of two daughters and a nurse from ohio.
In my childhood I always had bowel problems and my brother was born with hershbrungs disease.
As a young adult I was dx with the same.
in 2004 I had a total colectomy and was not given a ostomy at that time.
Both of my daughter were already born at this time.
This past february 1 I was having severe abd pains and was taken to the Er and was taken to emergency surgery.
My small bowel and part of my rectum had ruptured and they placed a ileostomy.
I was told it could be reversed in 3 months.
May 19 I had it reversed.
I have been having some problems the last week and just thought I would poke around and ask some questions.
I am having slight blood in my stool, when I go its very little and watery.
He placed a J pouch.
I have also been having some pain and muscle spasms in my abd and my rectum.
I need to be better on diet control and nutrition was my least fav subject in nursing shool.
Does anyone know what helps, or hurts to eat.
