Oh my, I am feeling SO anxious these days!  My daughter will be having her colon removed on Friday. It all seems so surreal.  I am soooo scared of complications...the past 3 yrs have been one thing after another, so it is hard for me to feel comfortable with the fact surgery might just give my daughter her life back!  She is handling things pretty well..she had one little meltdown today with some tears, but it wasn't even a bad meltdown. I hope she can continue to stay strong. It is going to be really, really hard seeing her after surgery and knowing she is in pain. My heart is heavy for all that she has gone through.....just needed to vent :)

Will be thinking of you both tomorrow. Hope it goes very smoothly. Sounds like you're both handling things well under the circumstances (the 13 yr olds I've known can meltdown over a whole lot less). Keep us posted.

     I am saying prayers for your daughter's successful operation and speedy recovery.  I cannot imagine a child having to go through this.  I'm sure she will be fine.  Take care of yourself too, it cannot be easy for you either.  God bless.

Prayers for you both...the younger kids do seem to bounce back really well and quickly. Let us know how she (and you) are doing when able to do so.

Don't worry...the pain she's in after surgery will be nothing compared to the UC pain she's used to. Plus, I know for me, I knew it was "good pain" that was going to bring me health. She will definitely be better off after surgery. Keep us posted!
