Brandon is in the OR for phase 2! He is excited about moving forward towards his reconnection surgery. I learned this morning that this surgery wil form the Jpouch, remove the rectum and connect the pouch. He will now have a loop ileo for about 3 months....and then the final surgery to close the Stoma. I am praying that 2012 will be a year of renewed health and return to normalcy for him. :).

Good luck! Also, note that a loop ileo is trickier to manage than a end ileo. He might have more skin issues and looser output. This is normal. Be sure to work with an ET nurse if he starts having problems.
