. I don't actually think I am inherently entitled to two arms or a working colon or the ability to walk....
What bothers me is when people say they are grateful for their illness.... I am never grateful for that,.
Yes you are. you were conceived like that.
Oh man, I know what you mean. Didn't I see a sticky post from admin about
reasons to be grateful for their illness..... f'ing disgusting.
Oh oh, there's another good one, the latest one... 3 sacrifices you refuse to make for your illness, it's on the front page. The dude talks about
his love for mountain biking... He had to give that up because of his problem......but hey, he can still be a dad to his kid. WELL of course he can still be a dad, HE WAS ONE BEFORE THE F.... illness.
You know why those posts exist bluegrass? Because people always try to downplay or go around their disease, trying to see the positive aspects of what is left of their life.
If people were angry and depressed etc, there would be much more pressure on the media on the world for developing more effective treatments or cure. People view these illnesses as part of life and we go on with what we can like sheeps. Oh in 50 years a cure comes along for something.
How fast they developed a vaccine for H1N1 when it was a pandemic. Too bad IBD is not contagious, we would have a cure already. But we won't because people sit quietly, taking their asacol and predinsone like a good little human, and make up posts like grateful for their diseases....lunatics man, lunatics.
