Thank you all for your replies. I truely appreciate it. I met with the surgeon and after some testing, he thinks he can remove the stump from behind. He did make it sound pretty simple. He even said I can leave the hospital the next day and the only reason he would keep me in is for pain managment. He said there is very little change of complications after the surgery because there is nothing left inside.
I'm still very very nervous with the thought of being "closed". I have been trying to google pics of what it would look like back there to get a better idea but I haven't had any luck finding anything.
For those who have had this surgery, any advise on after the surgery. What to take to the hospital or sit on something specific at home to make life a little easier. Do's and don'ts that I should know getting into this?
