bloody ileostomy output

Hey

I have a question for all ostomy people: do you ever have bloody ileostomy output and what may cause this?
I have recurrent episodes of luminal bleeding, NOT from the stoma itself.
I dont have chrons or colitis so I dont know what causes this bloosy output.
Also, I am not sure if the amount of blood is relevant at all. Here is a link to my blog where you can see the three pictures with the bloody ostomy output.

We have no good idea what may cause this bleeding.

The actual amount of blood in the bag was twice than what you can see in the pictures.

Good to hear from you. Wish it was under better circumstances. SOrry I cannot get into that site to see the bloody bag pics. I cannot imagine what the blood would be from. Wish you well.

I have been having horrific issues with my stoma all of a sudden narrowing; effluent basically cannot come out. This all started suddenly March 11 when the stoma basically swelled shut. Then I had an sbo over Easter. May have to get stoma redone. And other stuff may be at play. I had been so well for 4.5 years am soooo glad I traveled. We live with tentativeness hanging over us at all times. I hope you get some answers. Rosemary

no, I never eat aything with a red color.
And I hadnt eaten that day at all, so basically, this was mainly blood that came out.
