Yes....I think that is a better way to describe it overall...for hubby that is probably a better description too.
When you go for so long being so apprehensive to eat, not to eat, what to eat, when to eat depending on what you are about to do to TRY and control the frequency with the UC that it is finally a pleasure to eat once again. Being able to eat most things now without paying the consequences certainly makes a huge difference.
Needing to drink so much water to stay hydrated wasn't too difficult as he was a big water drinker...we just forget sometimes to be sure we take it with us when we are going out, in the car etc.
I was always the fast eater but he definitely has slowed down to chew, chew, chew so I try to slow it down too so he isn't always sitting there with 1/2 of his food and I am already done...lol. When we go out to eat with others he is usually the last one done which is fine and I am glad he doesn't try to rush things to keep up.
