Hi,

I am looking for some advice on which kind of spanx or yummie tummie product I need to make my ostomy bag less noticeable. I know some people really recommend ostomy secrets but I had one and had problems and know other people who had problems with them. Does anyone here wear either spanx or yummie tummie products to help with the ostomy bag, have you had any problems with drainage from the stoma? Sorry if I didnt give you enough information, if you need more just comment back what you need and I will tell you. My stoma is about an inch and a half below my belly button and a little less than an inch over.

Mine doesn't show, but if I want extra support I wear a belly band, like pregnant women wear. Or I get the spandex type underwear and put them on on top of my regular underwear

What problems did you have with the osteomy secrets? I have some ideas that I've used but I don't know what problems you've had.

I don't buy anything special, just wear my usual bikini underwear. It comes up just under the wafer ring. It's not skimpy, just short. I have never liked underwear that comes up to my waist. I wear thick enough or dark colored pants or shorts and a somewhat long top that hangs over.

I have a problem with anything the least bit tight packing down the top of the bag, pancaking, and keeping stuff right in the ring. It causes a little leaking under the wafer and stinging. Elastic waistbands don't seem to help. I've tried paste, those little ring things to no avail. They made it worse. I might try going back to flat wafers. Maybe someone has an idea?

At night I wear pajama bottoms under the bag and a long shirt .

Hi. I wear my detachable bag sideways under girls tube tops i get from amazon . com for 6.99 .It works great because i can wear my pants and undershorts below it .At night i sleep with it hanging down with a pillow above it so it doesn't get squeezed between me and the mattress.

I've only worn Spanx twice, and each time it was to a wedding when I was wearing a fitted dress. You can get the ones that are like shorts or the ones with pantyhose. For me, they're too tight and uncomfortable for everyday use, so I just tuck the pouch into my underwear. Higher undies are good at covering the whole pouch.

When absolutely necessary I used the Spanx panties that go all the way up and hook up to a strapless or regular bra. They are not very comfortable but it does completely smooth out everything under a sleek dress. Most of the time a pair of control pantyhose adjusted everything just fine.
