Back from honemoon!!!

Hi all! Im just updating for all who wanted to know how the wedding and honeymoon went and it was all PERFECT!!! Im really learning ti appreciate my stoma even tho i still obsess about it lol.
To start out, the wedding day was literally the best day of summer for an outdoor wedding. We were so blessed. With the summer having days reaching in the upper 90s and a huricane on the coast pushing rain our way, it could have been a disaster! From my end dealing with the ostomy at the wedding, i spent all that day in a tux and on my feet. It was tough by the end of the day and i was sooooo tired but the stoma literally made my wedding possible. I was about 100 yards from a bathroom all day long and i didnt even have to think about it!!! No UC urgency or severe pain! I was able to enjoy my wedding!!! The honeymoon would definately not have been possible. We went on so many tours on foot and trolley tours where it would have been up to 15 minutes before i could be in a bathroom!!! Its literally a miracle. I was able to walk all throughout the city all day without worry!!! Not to mention a 10 hour drive with no fear of urgency!!! Its like i never had UC!!!
Bottom line is we had a wonderful wedding/honeymoon tht would not have even been half possible with my UC. I was able to ride in the car, eat like a horse, visit a natural park and be a mile from a restroom, take long tours, shop all day, etc... I could go on for days with the positives!!! I spent so much quality time with my WIFE for the first time in a long time where the bathroom wasnt an issue!!! Gonna update my blog in a day or twi with pics and all the details :)

Thanks to you all!!! I think with an ileo you have to really praise God for the good times and place your focus on the right part of healing and life. Its easy to be happy when things are goin good but even in the tougher times i try to focus on all the good things. Iv been very fortunate thus far and im so thankful for it!!! Learning more and more all the time on accepting and appreciating my stoma (button, hehe). Thank you for the encouraging words!!!
