my new stoma from the az mayo doc protrudes an inch out and is really easy to pouch. As you know she took out my unused colon which was a surprise to me as she was worreid about
the heavy mucous accumulationn in the cecum at surgery and as long as she had me
opened, she took it out, tho this was not part of the plan.
so my ileo stoma looks great, but it is now leaning to the right a bit. not retraction and the opening is still in the center but i am wondering is the slight tilt to the right hampering its ability to expel stool, or seeing as i have quite a bit of pain up under my right rib cage if I lie on my left at night, does is sound like an adhesion is forming from where she took the colon down and could that be hampering the function of the new ileo stoma.
I am outputting now a short while after eating breakfast and actually the stoma spit out an undissolved pill from last night (no wonder I did not get pain reliefl, it did not dissolve.)
so let me know about anyone's stoma that comes out an inch and does yours lean to the right or left?
also, due to not eating at night because i cannot sleep if food is in me while, I sleep, is what you all put out in the morning what you just ate or is it what you had the night before?
it has been so long since i had an stoma work normally that i lose total track. Thx. Rosemary
