This is the CCFA Rock'N Roll Marathon Sunday in Las Vegas. I am excited and nervous about my first race. My times are terrible because I came down with pouchitis and pneumonia during the last month. I am still going and even if I am the last person to cross the finish line at least I will have done it!

good luck! Its not for something like that, but we are going to vegas in july! Let me know what some good stuff to do is! I plan to stay sober at least 20% of the time and have to do something! :-)

Ugh.. that sucks! - the pneumonia and pouchitis.. but the race sounds fab! have a great time and enjoy it... who cares if you're last.. I bet no-one else in the race has had to deal with what you've had - and I bet you wont' be last anyway. Go girl! Good luck. X

hey... just want to say good luck and have a GREAT time in vegas. Congrats on raising the dough. And congrats in advance on crossing that finish line. Take good care of yourself pre and post race.
And of course enjoy vegas after the race is over!!!

i am disappointed no one here is going. I meant to just do three miles today but I spaced out and did 6.5. I will try really hard to do nothing but warm-ups and stretching until the race. Found a great vintage and somewhat discreet showgirl costume complete with headdress not too far from my hotel. Played with the idea of racing in it but I think I'll just use it for a fun photo. Thank you for all of the encouragement.

Have so much fun and THANK YOU for participating! Do you know/read Jackie over at Blood/Poop/Tears? She is going...and a few people I follow on Twitter - semicolongirl is one off the top of my head. I'm planning the AllState in Chicago in June....started training already!! Can't wait to hear all about it!

Sorry I haven't been on here....life was crazy before I left...I ran last night, too!!!

The wind was horrible and it's was SO warm scool I think I heard it was one of the warmest November's in Vegas history!

Hope you had fun!

The wind after mile 10 was 24 to 36 mph. Running against a headwind was tough!
