Awkward. But in a pickle!

Yes. I've seen blood and was told not to worry about it by two doctors and people here.

I've felt pressure and occasionally even an "urgency". I have/had UC and when I still had all my rectum I was told there was UC in my rectum and that's why I might feel some urgency with the mucus. That urgency came with some cramping which was sometimes uncomfortable for a few minutes. As for real PAIN..Not until now when I'm in recovery from having the JPouch created. And no pain when relieving myself of the mucus.

That is just my experience.
As you know, we are all different.
But seriously, I wouldn't worry about traces of blood in the mucus. Just about all of us have that happen when we still have our rectum.

Yes I have that too.. can be painful at times and icky! but agree it's normal.
