So, I ended up in e.r. AGAIN.. the only way to describe what I am feeling is, when you are drinking adn think you are not THAT drunk, then you stand up (usually to pee)  and realize YOU ARE HAMMERED.. well, taht is how I feel.

So, 1st e.r. did blood work, and told me I was fine, it was probably realted to my "belly discomfort" (the ovarian cyst no one will remive as it is BURIED in adhesions and scar tissue)... I told her how nausiatied I was, so the nurse comes in adn gives me a shot in my i.v., I ASSUME it was for nausea, but then felt like I was hit by a TRUCK... I freaked, I was like "WHAT WAS THAT???"    smhair   the nurse goes, "Nubane, for pain"...I was like..."I AM NOT IN PAIN!!!" she looked at me shocked and goes, "well, that's what she ordered."    shocked   I was so upset...so, they did xray, and said I was fine, go home and sleep.

I immediately went to my primary docs office and burst into tears asking for advice.. because silly me seems to think that having a strangling feeling at the base of my spine, no appetite and feeling like I am going to pass out when I am bent in the middle (sitting), or laying on my back is NOT OK!! nono

The only one there was the nurse, so I relayed the whole thing to her..while clutching my husband so I don't pass out... she tells me to go to another e.r.  cry

So, I did, and told them all that happened, and how I was feeling.. so they drew MORE blood, and did an i.v... I signed papers for them to get the xray and blood work from first hospital.. doc comes in and goes, "Well, there is nothing wrong with you, do you just want more pain meds?"  smhair

I freaked again... NO, I want to know WHY I feel drunk and can't eat, or sit, or walk with out feeling like I am going to vomit and pass out!!!

Doc goes, "well, you'll have to call an orthopedic surgeon."

Then sent me home...

cry   still can't eat (on phenergan and zofran), can't sit for more than 3 minutes or I feel blood pulsing in my face and head...

ggrrrr.... just lost!

Well, I have no clue. However, did you ever had an episode like this before the surgeries. This is one way to try to pin point what could be causing this.

Woah!! How big is your city? Would it help to go to a larger hospital?

I live in a VERY rural area.. and the hospital that did my surgeries is a 4 hour drive, and cross a ferry :) Yes, we are THAT rural.. cows out number people..
Can't sleep unless I am on an incline, and can't stomach any solids today. No bm's today either.. so not sure what to do. Put a call into my surgeons office to see what they say.. who knows...
Thanks for the input..it is frustrating not to know where to go to get help when it seems like everyone is fluffing it off...

I think calling your surgeon's office is a great step. Even if it's a drive, I would see if they think you should go to someone near there (even if it's the E.R.).

THe other thing I forgot to mention, when they did my blood pressure laying on table it was 112/77 when I stood up and felt like I was going to pass out it was 110/65... yet they saw no issue with this?

I'm sorry to hear you're going through this. It can be very frustrating--to the point of tears--when your medical team doesn't seem to hear you. I have no advice, but am keeping you in my thoughts. You've been so kind to reach out to me in the past. Let us know what the surgeon's office says.

I don't have any advice for you but just want to sympathize with you as my husband is going thru some health issues right now and cannot get an answer and he's been to 4 different specialists. It's just ridiculous how these doctors can't tell you what the hell is wrong. I am doing a better job diagnosing him on the internet! We are going to go to a larger hospital because we are getting nowhere here. You may want to consider the same....it's worth the drive. I also went through a lot a bull with dr.'s when I had UC. It's just so darn frustrating and I am sorry you are dealing with this.

I hope you get to the bottom of this real soon.

i can't thank you enough for the support and ears..it really does help.
I talked to my surgeons nurse who seems to agree that something needs to be addressed NOW, but we can't find anyone who will do that :( So still not sure what to do...
Today seems to be the worst by far! I am not sure if I should just go to the e.r. again and DEMAND they call in a doc or how that would even work..
Just sitting here at work I feel drunk. Can't sleep unless on an incline, and my left thigh from waist to knee is totally numb on the outside..
The one place did check my heart, but said all is ok there..just want my head to stop "swimming" and feeling like I am going to pass out!
I even left a sticky note on my desk that says, "if you should find me unconscious, please call...." with my home number on it.
uugghhh... only 5 more hours of work.

It sounds like it is time for you to go back to the ER. Can you go to a different ER than you went to before? I know where I live there are 3 or 4 local ERs. One is definitely better than the other. But if I am having a serious problem I will even have someone drive me further to a more reputable ER. Can you have someone do that for you?

Well, I called all the docs that my primary suggested.. and no one is taking on new patients at this time.. ( of course), so I tried to explain the problem to a few nurses, hopong for a "little push thru"..but was told the next available appt was in a month.
Not sure how much longer this can go on..I did manage to get an appt with a nurse practicioner tomorrow.. fingers crossed xxxx it will go SOMEWHERE.. and NOT to Burlington! (hahaha, for me that is a 4 hour drive to my surgical hospital...as I have company coming in for the Easter weekend, and a dinner for 40 to get thru)..and not sure how I am going to be able to do that!

I agree with Ron, it sounds like dehydration here's a link to the Mayo's website on it:

Well, I had 2 great days!! YEAH!!! Then I "spring cleaned" my house, and after the 3rd day was D-O-N-E... after our BIG Easter dinner on Saturday, and all our company left, I took a hot bath and passed out :)
Sunday wasn't any better, back to walking like I was drunk, and definatly something pinched in my back and shoulder..sounds horrible, but I hope I still feel bad for my appt. next week so they can find something..and get it taken care of..
