I was wondering about her too. I had ice cream today just like I did the day before I had the retrograde ileoscopy test. I should not have now I have ice cream bunged up behind my stoma. Should have stayed cleared out and just done my best with the diluted Boost VHC.

Do you remember if ironmum had surgery to redo her stoma? I cannot remember. I too was thinking of her the other day.

I saw on her blog site that she was taking a break from blogging, so maybe she's been staying off-line on purpose?

I guess I'm not 100% sure it's her, but I found her blog when I was researching ileostomies. When I found this site, there were some clues that made me think they're the same person...

Thanks, cookie. I took a look at the blog - it's definitely ironmum. Seems she's turning away from the internet for a while. I think that's fine to do, it was just strange when she dropped out of sight here just after or before her surgery. Good to know she is relatively alright.

Did they redo her stoma or did things straighten out for her I don't remember I am in so much trouble myself. I still care and and want to keep up but I am losing energy. Rosemary

I am sure she had surgery but I don't know of the outcome because she stopped posting.

Wanted to share that I have heard from Sarah (aka Ironmum) awhile back.

What a fantastic person she is. Putting first how apologetic she is to us here on HW. She expresses, in sincere kindness, her continuous thoughts for us. Despite her well wishes for us and wanting to continue her supportive bond, she needs to break away from 'all things ileo.' Also included in her respit, is her blog. She stated that she is doing OK, with the hopes in one day returning.

I will always remember her words of wisdom and kindness. She was particularly close to me because we shared the same disease, but her case became more heightened. As I don't know the details, I wish her, her family, her husband and her boys nothing but my best.

My best to her too windy. I hope she is OK. I just wish she got successful outcome from the surgery it sounded like she really needed and is doing well. Thanks for update. Rosemary
