Hahahahahah bro, you made my day
Sorry just kidding. I find the odor of mine pretty mild... I have an air freshener spray in my bathroom that I'll spritz if I know someone else is about
to use the bathroom after me, and I've found that the Safe n Simple drops as well as the Hollister drops work decently, but I don't have an issue with going "au naturale." Flushing immediately does seem to help. I'm still measuring my post-op output so I have to empty into a beaker, then pour the beaker into the toilet, then rinse out the beaker... that seems to maximize the odor
I do eat at least one serving of greek yogurt every day which is supposed to improve odor. It's a thickener too and great protein -- give it a try?
I was on the opposite end of the UC spectrum... my BMs had absolutely no odor for the last few months of the life of my colon. I was on a ton of antibiotics at that point which I assume is why that happened. It was kind of a relief to get any kind of "poop smell" again. /end overshare
Anyway, the bathroom is a separate room for a reason. As long as you're cleaning the tail and you're not releasing odor when your pouch is closed I think it's all OK
