@scarytime - That sucks :-/ I'm sorry about
that, I hope you don't have to wait long. Yeah, I'm in the UK. Which part are you from, if you don't mind me asking? I live in Bucks, close to Aylesbury.
@ByeByeUC - I have, yeah. But I'm too attached to HW... <_<. ('Awwww' I hear you all say, followed by sobs.)
@answers4me2 - I have heard of colonic inertia, although not anismis, admittedly. I don't know what the latter entails, but severe constipation is a miserable experience. I've had years of constipation (mostly as a child/teenager) and years of diarrhoea, and I'd rather live with diarrhoea to be honest.
Anyway, thank you for your kind words. I hope life is better for you with a stoma than with the aforementioned two conditions. Re the stickiness - I do actually use adhesive remover wipes. They work up to a point, but not completely. I'll look up uni solve wipes, however.
(I just did. Found some on amazon.co.uk. £20?????? I'm almost as in much shock as when I found out how much a colectomy cost. I'm sorry NHS. Let's be friends. I'll try never to slag you off again.)
@Larasmom - Heh. A flashing
neon sign. Subtlety is the name of the game here :p
Edit: Sorry blueglass, didn't see your post until after I had posted. Interesting what you said about
the people in the ostomy support group. Most old folks I know aren't really internet users: at most, they might post updates on Facebook, but nobody I know would join an internet forum. But I still intend to be posting when I'm 90, if possible >_>.
Definitely will find out more about
the stoma revision.
