why so much mucus!

Every day at least seven times per day I have to pass mucus. It causes me alarm because most often it is blood, fresh and old clots either alone or mixed with mucus. If I added all of the daily amounts it is approximately 1/3 to 1/2 a cup per day. Should I be worried about blood loss? Quite often I am dizzy and I have been having some very low blood pressures . Last one taken was 80/52
I have been taken off all meds except lomotil since May 5 in anticipation of surgery, I am in a flare. I thank my stars that I have my loop ileo as things would be 100% worse without it I am sure.

I am waiting to have a proctocolectomy with end ileo. My surgeon is having issues with getting time in the OR as the hospital is under renovation. This summer there are two OR while the others are being renovated/built. Next summer there will be 8 OR, just my luck my surgeons secretary said next summer I could likely have my surgery a week after consult.. I really like my surgeon and don't want to switch. I already live two hours away, switching would make it four. The hospital I would switch to is one of the best in Canada for IBD, so there are advantages. It makes it hard for my husband when he wants to be with me but has to care for our children as well. We have help for when I am in hospital from a few friends and parents. I know my girls want to come see me in hospital so staying and waiting for a date will make things much easier.
My surgeon has told me that he has a few cancer surgeries that he must do before me but i am next in line after them. He is trying to work with the hospital to get more OR time. He has one day in July and two in August . They have to share such limited space with so many doctors.

I guess I wonder when does my situation become an emergency.? I know that there are others who are in more dire situation than I am. But between my angry fistula that has been getting bigger, harder, more painful and the daily bleedings when do I become a surgery that cannot wait for a slot six weeks away.?

If I were you, I  would definitely see a physician or go to ER if necessary.  Doesn't sound to me like you should wait the 6 weeks in silence.
