I never got on with the Coloplast bags. They never seemed to stick that securely to me. If you're in the UK, try Salts or Dansac bags. If you're not, you might be able to get hold of those brands anyway - it's worth looking into. Anyway, I rate Salts bags the best. I haven't tried their Urostomy bags, but I presume they're as good as their ileostomy ones.
I don't lie down after changing a bag, but it does take about half an hour before the adhesive truly 'takes' to the skin - after that point I know it's secure. The only really crucial thing is to make sure your skin is utterly dry before applying the wafer - if it's still damp or moist in parts that will affect the adhesion. Kitchen paper actually seems to be the best thing for drying. Just crumple up a piece or two and hold it firmly over the stoma/skin, absorbing all the moisture.

9 months to a year ago. Coloplast is the wafer I use not the bag.
