I had my takedown on May 29th, so it's only been a little over a month but when I was released from the hospital, my surgeons said that I can go swimming but just be careful to cleanse the wound each time.
So I decided to wait till my stoma wound closed to go in the water. I rejoined my swim class this past Thursday and our instructor made is swim a lot during the entire hour, but I enjoyed it.
It wasn't until 2 days later (today) that my thighs and arms and my wound area was in pain. I can understand my thighs and my arms...the muscles there probably just hurt from not having swam in a while so I'm sorta waiting it out till the pain goes away, but regarding my stoma wound area....I don't know if it's the muscles or what but it hurts when I sneeze and cough and laugh and turn around when I'm in bed. I'm worried whether I did something to damage my scar inside?
So I went to see my orthopedic and he touched my stomach/intestine area and told me that it was hard. The other day, he had mentioned the same thing but I gathered that it was because I went to see him with a full stomach but this time, I was rather on an empty stomach and he still mentioned that it was hard....any meaning to this...?
