just wondering if anyone uses  the stomaplex belts and what you think about them thanks

I just ordered one to try it out. I pretty much always wear my Hollister belt with my Hollister appliance right now. I am also goingto try out the Ostomy Armor setup and compare. I am really getting these to try out the stoma guards that are integral with them, but obviously the guards requires a belt to stay in place. Will report on how they work.

I've been using the stomaplex belts for over a year. It works well. I like it. I don't wear it in the house just when I go somewhere. I use it at work. The newly designed belt arrived today. I've been trying it out. It has a thinner profile then the old style. So far I like it better.

Hey driver, how does the depth/clearance of the stomapex guard work for you i.e. did you measure your max stoma height and add 1/4" like they suggested? I did so I ended up ordering a 1.25" deep built up guard- I suspect it wont be as low profile as I'd like- and I notice by comparison Ostomy Armor comes in just one depth, which is around a half inch-- which would mean anyone with a normal end ileo would have to have their stoma bent down. I am curious if maybe that works fine and I could actually order a lower orofile stomplex device instead. cheers- pro

I added a half inch. I have the one inch shield. That seems like a lot but I discovered that the depth is actually a little less when measured at home. The owner is really good about returns. If you find it's too big or small send him an email. The first belt was a little too small, depth wise, but I wore it for six months so I couldn't return it. I ordered the next size but that seemed a touch too small. Then I measured the depth and discovered it was a little less then advertised. I sent him an email and he stated that all the shields are an 1/8 or so less then what's on the web site. He sent me the next size up and included an extra one at no charge. Last week I ordered the new low profile belt and so far I'm happy with it. The real test comes this week at work. So far I've just tried it out for a few minutes. I think it's going to be ok. I thought that people would notice the belt but I don't think anyone has. People just aren't looking. I pull my shirt out just a bit so that it's not super tight. I haven't tried any other belts by the other manufactures.
