... and feeling great! I had an ileum the first couple days and puked up a lot of bile, but it passed and I finally ate real food this morning. Doc said if it goes through ok, I can go home tonight!
The pouch seems to be working perfectly so far. I can feel when it needs to be emptied (although I generally do when I have to pee just cause I'm already there) - it feels a bit like urgency, but not as bad and I can easily hold it in.
The wound itself is
open, no staples or stitches. It is maybe 2 inches by 1 inch. Just need to let it heal on its own.
Gotta run ... time for a walk
