thanks scary and nena!

went for follow up today. the surgeon took out 2 external thick nylon stiches, PHEW.... that was a relief!! so now it really hearts less :) he said all the rest are internal desolving stiches. he said all looks good and to come for another follow up in 6 more weeks.

scary, that is good to know that by 8 weeks all is comfortable :) and i'm happy for you! i have a good cream i'm using after every time i wash my butt and it's really helping. can't wait to use it now that those nasty nylon stiches are gone :) i'm positive, i'm positive......

nena, thanks so much for the tip! oh a bidet should be really good for me right now. we sure have bidets, and altho they are pretty expensive (like 2/3 of a month salary of mine lol) i will see if there's a way to get one (maybe my mom.. idk)

you don't need to spend so much on the bidet. I saw a lot of muslim bidets in Israel (Shataff, in Arabic). It's a simple attachment that you can attach to your toilet yourself. No idea how much they cost but much,much cheaper than the kind of bidets people on the forum are getting, and it does the same job. I don't know where you can get it. Look online, or ask someone around who would know.

that's the kind i chekced online and was reffering to it as expensive.. yes, i earn very little working at kupat holim. you know, national institutions don't pay much. hospital nurses suffer the same problem.

but on the positive side, today i feel a huge and significant improvement. its amazing, cuz up until only yesterday i was twisting in pain so bad. i took my pain meds and it helped. since then it's been almost 36 hrs and the butt pain hasn't come back!!! the bekini line incision hurts like hell, but my butt is suddenly (almost) pain free!!!! just irritating a bit and a bit anoying when sitting, but, still, it feels great!! Dianna, only 3 weeks of hell and then alls great!!

it has been 3 weeks since surgery. before surgery, usually after 3 weeks i would feel a significant pressure and pain in my rectum and anus from all the building up mucous that couldn't come out. i now feel there's absolutely nothing there!! and it is so good to feel this way. i'm finally free yeah yeah yeah

Hi Hodaya,

there's a really simple one. I just tried to find a picture of it online, but only saw the expensive ones. I think if you look through people instead of online, you can find a less expensive solution. What I saw in a friend's apartment, and another time in a very non-luxury hotel in Turkey, really could not have cost very much.
And if I don't know what I'm talking about, I apologize!

I'm super glad to hear that you're doing well, and that your pain has subsided. I've learned a lot through your posts, which I'm very thankful for. I've actually been using a squirt bottle with warm water just to clean my butt in the morning; I leak all night even though I use Canasa suppositories at bedtime, and in the morning. Sure will be glad to have that gone.

How is sitting going now?

My surgery is scheduled for 12/12 and my surgeon said he often does this surgery laparoscopically. He's going to try that with me, but won't know until he gets in there if he can do it, or if he has to go through my original abdominal incision. Crossing my fingers and toes that he doesn't have to do that.

I hope your healing continues to go well...:-)

Dianna, thanks. i'm glad my experience helped you get a bit perpective of what's ahead of you and i wish you best of luck with your surgery. if your surgeon is able to do it laparo, that would be awesome!!!

well, about sitting, it's much more doable now, but not on hard surfaces. i need thick and soft pillows. and still, if i sit for too long, my butt will hurt a bit again, so laying down (on my side or stomach) is still preferable for my butt, but i just cannot stand laying down anymore... but i do when i have to. today i noticed the skin tag has really shrunk significantly! i can hardly feel it :) more improvement :)
