Hi everyone,

Unfortunately I come with bad news... our ostomy brother Mossmi has moved on from this earth; he was an amazing human, he accomplished so much during his time here. He was an active member of this site and I felt you all should know. Reading comments he has made on others posts, he was so supportive and compassionate.

We met on here, and we have talked almost everyday since. He helped me get through some tough times and certainly terrible news, I wish that we could have helped him the way he helped us.

We all know that life sucks, and most of us are sick all the time, or used to be, and we have all dealt with the emotional turmoil that goes along with having a disease or major health complications, sometimes we overlook the emotional turmoil, or we put a smile on and never let others know we are dying inside until it's too late. We never know how deeply someone is hurting until it's too late to do anything.

To you mossmi- you changed the world, you changed me and life is less sweet without you in it. I hope that you found peace in your final moments, I hope that you are at peace now.

But how?
He just posted recently about working out? I thought he was coming along fine. He was so proud of what he could do since surgery and he was so inspiring for all of us.
What happened?

I don't have full details, I've been speaking with some of his friends where he lived.
All I know is he made the decision to leave this world, I just pray he had peace in that moment.

My sincerest condolences to you and your family. For whatever it's worth, I hardly knew Mossimi but I do remember his kindness to me a few months ago in a situation where another person might have lost patience. He has always been cheery and kind on here.

Barely knew him and I'm finding it a bit hard to believe. I'm so sad he felt that bad and nobody knew.

I am so sorry and that's not the right word. He posted here about getting his fitness thing back together. I wish he had said something about other kinds of thoughts. It's so horrible, because when a person gets that far that they make a decision to end it, it's coming from a part of them that other people cannot reach. He must have been feeling the most terrible kind of loneliness and not talking to anyone about it. I wish he had asked for help.

I knew he was struggling and having a hard time. He helped pull me out of my depression, it never sounded like he was that deep, he also made hopeful and positive comments. He had his working out back, he was living his life again.
None of us knew he was hurting that badly, I should have read between the lines more, a regret I will live with forever.
I'm praying that his brother has peace and his friends and I only keep the good memories.

Was his feeling badly to do with surgery and illness or was he feeling badly before and the illness and surgery just made things less bearable?
I still can't believeit.
Thank you for being there and letting us know. I've wondered sometimes, after a few posts between various people, how would any of us know if someone stopped posting because they had died.

He was happy before surgery, I think the illness, surgery and loneliness became too much. I'm just in a state of shock, I reread every single email and Facebook posts and messages and nothing ever pointed to it. We were both sad, life wasn't what we planned but he also built me up and I tried to do the same.
We live so many states away and I would give anything to go to his service.
He will be cremated, and services will be this week sometime.
If I find an obituary link I will post it.

Im so sorry for the loss of one of yours. My heartfelt prayers to you all, his family and friends. May you find peace in the knowledge he suffers no more.

From experience personally and professionally there may have been no words between the lines to have read.

I'm sorry for your loss, it's so sad. I never read anything that made me think he would make this choice. I was actually kind of jealous as he seemed to be recovering so well.

I'm so sorry to hear this.  It's so sad.  I'm sure he is at peace now and with friends and family that have gone before him.

I never would have thought so either.
I spoke with some of his friends, he was hospitalized Wednesday with an obstruction.... I'm not sure what news he got but Friday evening he left the hospital room to take a walk, he walked home and took his life. He was found early Saturday morning.
He is with his mom now, where he has wanted to be.

This is horrible....such a shock and so sad. I had a very playful exchange with him a few months ago about how our food preferences changed with surgery.

Very sorry for your loss, Speech, and please take care of yourself and reach out as it's helpful. It's a huge blow to lose someone who helped you so much. People can be very good at hiding their pain if they want to. Thanks for letting us know.

This is such sad news. Mossmi was such an inspiration to so many with his positive posts and comments about his progression. My thoughts go out to all the friends and family at this very sad time.

I am shocked to read of Mossmi's passing! I am so sorry, Speech. My thoughts are with you and his family. He was such a great support to those of us on this board, he will be missed.

I am absolutely floored. He almost shamed even *me* into working out again.

I don't remember the last time I was this surprised. My condolences - he was an inspiration to us all.

I can imagine he would be so happy to hear these wonderful things about him!!
I started to message him earlier before realizing he wouldn't respond.
I do know that he was so grateful for everyone on here that helped him and gave advise or encouragement!

He will be remember for the amazing person he was, not how it ended. :-)

Hmm... life is fragile... Rest in Peace Mossmi. From his latest post I believe if he had a choice, he will not end his life... guess something unexpected had happened. He is with god now... god bless!
