zinc oxide is a cream recommended by my surgeon because i have a very red ring which is watery. Do not buy nappy rash cream that you can get over the counter because those often have oil substance that, like what they say, wont stick. Ask for zinc oxide cream from the hospital. Apply a THIN layer and air it. It will dry off a little. Then add stoma powder on it and blow off the excess. Now you will have a perfectly balanced mixture. If you think you've applied too much stoma powder and it wont come off, dap it with a wet coton. When stoma powder gets moist, it will become slightly sticky. BUT DONT MAKE IT WAY TOO WET. then you apply the bag. I always wipe off excess powder and fill up my dips with stoma paste. Infact i apply zinc oxide cream + Zinc oxide powder + stoma powder + stoma paste and it can last me for 3 day (leaks happened due to my watery output that detach the bag) nvr because of the cream or powder if you do it right.
sorry for the late reply.
