Hello, we are new here on this forum. My son is 12 years old and has an ileostomy due to bowel resection in August 2013 that was unsuccessful. I was wondering if there was anyone from Australia that uses osto ez vents and if so where do you purchase them from? I find this forum very helpful reading through peoples posts as we contemplate pros and cons of further surgery. I love how you are all so supportive and encouraging to each other, and I think you are all so brave with all that you have been through.

Welcome to Healing Well IllyKid!! While I am in the USA I don't know where you can find the vents in Australia but I know they can be found on Amazon and other Medical Supply websites. Some have even mentioned EBay for some items.

I know there are some items that I source through medical supply sites when my insurance doesn't cover the expense and save a lot of money.

I hope someone chimes in with information in your country...if not, try the internet:-)

That's where I got mine.

I don't know if they serve Australia or not.

Thanks for your replies. We can order some supplies from hollister, in fact we use hollister bags. So I will check with the suppliers.

Hi IllyKid, I'm in Perth :) As far as I'm aware Osto Ez Vents aren't available in Australia but check with your local ostomy organisation (where you get your supplies from). They'd be the best people to ask.
