Any resources for emergency supplies? I'm going thru a nasty divorce, he took all my supplies just to be mean, and he also took all the money. I don't have insurance, and I'm going to need supplies soon, like tomorrow!!!! I will

be able to get them on my own in a week, but I need something now!! 

Is there any place that helps out in an emergency like this?

Oh yeah, I just moved states and don't have a doctor yet to call for help!!

Thats a tough one.  First I'm sorry to hear your ex to be is such a S.O.B. How crule. First I would call my GI office. I always go through his nurse first. Tell her your plight. If no luck, I would go the emergency room.  You might have to tell them a little white lie to get you in there. You know, pain, increased loose stool, feeling anxious regarding your divorce...maybe they'll give you some. Take care.

Sorry to hear about your problems, really nice guy!!  Contact the ostomy support group in your area as they may be able to help.  You may not know of one or can find one.....if this is the case call the closest large hospital and ask to speak to an Ostomy nurse who will be able to either help you get supplies or find a close support group.  After trying this with no solution seek help from either the Salvation Army (they do pay for prescriptions too if the money is available), and last but no least seek an Independent Living Center....they advocate and give referral help.  I hope this helps you out.

I am also sorry about this dilemna that your husband has contributed too.  I have just had reversal surgery of my illeostomy and, despite the diarrhea that I am experiencing about 15 times a day, I am pleased that I was fortunate enough to have this reversal procedure completed.

With my illeostomy, I was using a ConvaTec 2-piece ostomy system (wafer and bag) as well as both adhesive removal, skin prep and ostomy paste.  I have several never-opened wafres, bags and wipes in my suppliers that I would be happy to donate.

Please let me know what type of supplies (name brand, model #, etc) you need and maybe I will be able to donate these to you.  I have approx 3 months worth of supplies f\depending on how often you change your appliance
