Gatorade G2 may have less sugar, but it has sucralose. Artificial sweeteners can be just as bad when it comes to speeding up the system and increasing output. That in turn can just lead to more hydration issues. If you really need more than water...drink Pedialyte, preferably the unflavored version. It's not very tasty, but doesn't have sugar or artificial crap. There are also a lot of recipes online to make that sort of thing yourself using water, fresh lemon/orange juice, a little honey and UNrefined salt.
