Redness outside of wafer

So I noticed I have a three inch half circular strip of red skin outside my wafer. The redness is not under the wafer but around it only on one side. It only itches sporadically but it looks red. My stoma site looks fine. Any thought on what it is and how to clear it up?

Skin broken or just red? I think I get something similar. To the right/under my wafer. Might be from the bag weighing down on that area.

Since my skin isnt broken I just give it a little scratch when I change my bag and try to leave it alone. Naked time with bag changes seems to help. I spend about 30 minutes after my shower without anything on the skin. Its heaven.

Until Beefers starts acting up... then time to my appliance back on before I accidentally poop everywhere.

I have the same happen to me, outside of the wafer and not broken skin - exactly as you say a strip of redness.  I haven't a clue either, so sorry not to have the answers but appreciate if anyone else can help.  I wondered if my skin was having a reaction, but odd that it's outside of the wafer?

Yes it's weird. I don't think it's an allergy since it isn't all the way around. I guess it's nothing to worry about!

My skin is still red around the stoma. I think it is irritation from poo leaking under the wafer. No broken skin or sores, just redness.

You might be allergic to the alcohol in your paste. This causes a reaction that bleeds outside the paste area. Try switching to the Adapt barrier rings that are adjustable in size and contain no alcohol. Hollister has them as part number 7805. Just remember to press firmly after changing your wafer and you are good for 4-5 days before the next change.
