Is your output very liquid and high in volume? Mine was like that the entire time, I was constantly having to get I.v. fluids and had to get t.p.n. also because no matter what I did, my output was anywhere from 1800 to 3000 cc per day. 2000 is considered high. If that is what you are seeing, you should eat things that tend to thicken and slow down output. B.r.a.t. diet - bananas, rice, applesauce, toast, white bread. You need to take in more fluids to prevent dehydration.

Tks Donsall, appreciate your time and your response. Figured I wouldn't get a bunch of answers since women hate women that can lose weight and don't need to.

I lost a ton of weight after my ileostomy surgery. Mine was temporary and the entire 4 months I had it I ate like a 300 pound truck driver and I couldn't gain an ounce. I had a loop ileostomy then had my takedown surgery for my j pouch. Then finally I started gaining it back.

I lost 35 lbs in three weeks after step 1 and was never able to gain weight during the 6 weeks I had my ileostomy. I am now 8 weeks post takedown surgery and have gained back 2.5 pounds. I did put on about
10 lbs prior to my first surgery in the 3 weeks between HG Dysplasia diagnosis and surgery because I was eating everything I knew I would be unable to eat for a while, so that contributed to the high weight loss.

@Momma Donna, that really isn't a very nice comment, considering that most of us were pretty sick prior to our surgeries and most had trouble keeping weight on.
You'll find that this is a great place for support, we don't hate here, just help.
I didn't respond to your question because I didn't have an answer, certainly not because I was envious of your rapid weight loss.
I hope you find the answers you're looking for. Sorry I can't help you.
