Rabbit,
I am having a similar experience as you are. I suffered myself with pain and discomfort thinking it was just my "young 2-month old" pouch adjusting. The reality was that I ended up with c.diff from Antibiotics that I was taking due to an abscess and skin infection from the take-down surgery. The C.diff/antibiotics (Vanco) may have lead to pouchitis which I needed to use more antibiotics to treat the pouchitis (Flagyl). From all of the antibiotics I now have Thrush which I am now using Nystatin to treat it but that is causing me Diarrhea. Ugh.
I see the GI tomorrow and he mentioned switching me to Cipro since I've been on Flagyl for the past month. He also wants more Stool, urine and blood for testing.
I still love my pouch, I been able to sleep through most nights not needing to empty it. My BMs are still 3-6 times a day but some difficulty and pain emptying. It's so much better than UC.
I'm going to ask for a script for VSL3 DS, the GI has offered it to me previously if I needed it but wanted to wait to see if I needed it....I think I need it now.
Get well soon.
