I had a horrific first couple of months after my colostomy because no matter what I tried, from pastes, to film, to tape to changing barrier every day, nothing worked.
Finally it dawned on me that my stoma was right on my belt line, so my belt and pants were putting pressure on everything, really giving my "output" no where else to go but out through the barrier seal.
As soon as I untucked my shirt and started wearing my belt and pants BELOW my stoma and barrier, my life was changed!
Maybe not the most professional look but it sure has worked for me during the last 2 months. I could certainly live with this set up for life but after 4 months I am eager for my upcoming reversal. Best of luck to everyone and hang in there!
