Hi k-del it sure sounds like you have been through a lot. If you are comfortable with the hospital in Detroit, I am sure it's a big enough city that they have experienced surgeons. Where I live I needed to get to a major city. I know what you are saying about
your husband. I feel guilty about
what I have put my family through. But they never complain and are with me every step of the way.
Jason I agree with you the staff on the colorectal floor at Cleveland Clinic are wonderful. I was afraid when I first got there but they really put me at ease. It's obvious they really care about
the patients. My surgeon is Dr. Huang and she came to see me everyday before 7am and also gave me her personal cell phone number after my first surgery if I had any trouble. In my opinion Cleveland Clinic saved my life. Not having a private room is kind of hard but I have met some very nice people in the same boat as me. It was hard for my family but now that I know what to expect I can stay at the hospital without them with me all day everyday.
