what is the best remedy for odor in the pouch without harming the stoma

I take Devrom by mouth. You can order it from your supplier or www.Devrom.com

It has eliminated almost all of my odor.

M9 drops (a squirt rather than just a few drops is what I use) is extremely powerful, essentially knocks out all odor when you empty. my insurance only pays for 1 x 8 oz bottle per month , so I buy a second bottle each month from amazon. A much cheaper alternative is OtC pre-diluted hydrogen peroxide. It needs a more liberal squirt so I prefer M9, but one compromise is to use M9 when out and about and peroxide at home. i transfer M9 from the big 8 oz bottle to tiny travel bottles to carry when out and about.

I use SG3 Deodorant and I buy it in 240 ml bottles at Shoppers Home Health Care. It is not cheap but it works 100% I also do not count drops but rather just put a squirt in the pouch. There is never any odor in my home or washroom ever. I go through a bottle a week on average so approx $1000.00 a year so you can see I am concerned about the problem.

If you are looking for something inexpensive you can get Hydrogen peroxide 3% solution in 475 ml brown bottles for $1.00 in Dollerama stores.

I found it worked most but not all of the time for me so continue to use the SG3 at $18.00 a bottle and have been using it for 15 years..

I can help you with the odor problem.

I use Safe N Simple deoderant and I have ZERO odor. Nothing else worked and this has been a miracle product for me. It comes two ways....with lubricant and without. Get it without....the deodorant only. It's a blue liquid. I put two little squirts in to my pouch every time I empty...AMAZING!! Now I have no fear emptying wherever I am. The company will send you a nice size sample and my insurance company covers it. Give it a try!!

Been on : asacol, lialda, colazol, azathioprine, prednisone, uceris, rowasa, hydrocortisone, humira, remicade, simponi, apriso and probably some things I can't recall!
