It sounds like your output is normal, which is very good as it rules out blockage, and that's basically one of the most major things to rule out with any stoma issues. My stoma blockages and partial blockages presented with nausea and stomach cramps whenever my stoma was active, which is a long way from what you're describing, but I did have a small bowel blockage that began with squeezing sensations with stoma activity, though, again, that progressed to stomach cramps, etc. pretty quickly, so you'd know if something serious was wrong.
I would recommend a low fibre diet for at least the first six weeks after surgery, although you're already avoiding most by the sound of it, at the moment your stoma is still swollen from surgery and it's harder for things to pass through, so if you are eating any whole grains, raw fruits, nuts, seeds, or vegetables - even cooked vegetables - that might be causing the sensations you're experiencing. Some people need to watch their diet even after swelling from surgery has gone down.
When you checked the fit of your bag, did you take into account that the stoma increases in size when it is active? Do you have any stitches or things remaining from the surgery?
